DMAE (Dimethylaminoethanol bitartrate) is naturally found in some foods. It is structurally similar to choline and has been found to support mental concentration in clinical research. DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol) is a compound used in the body to make choline. Choline is needed for optimal production of acetylcholine, the main neurotransmitter involved in memory and learning. Choline is also needed to synthesize phosphatidylcholine, a phospholipid used in the building and rejuvenation of cell and mitochondrial membranes. Cell membrane integrity is crucial to every structure and function in your body.
Phosphatidylcholine concentrates in the brain and maintaining healthy levels of brain phospholipids may be an important strategy for youthful brain function during aging.  DMAE has also demonstrated free radical scavenging activity, which may add to its ability to protect cell membrane integrity.

Dosage
